A GREAT DAY FOR NEWBRIDGE AT COUNTY DAY 2011

It was not just the weather that smiled last Saturday at County Day. Over 30 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers joined with other groups from the county to experience some of the magic of Scouting. The Newbridge Venturer and Scout group did a display of Bivy making which went down well and the Beavers showed their orienteering skills. The Cubs as usual had a ball. Thanks to all who ran and helped in any way. Every attendee received a special bagdge to mark the day.

What does 12 scouts 4 venturers and 5 Leaders add up to? ......Yes you guessed it..... a trip somewhere......Our German friends in Bad Lippespringe are looking to our return visit to their wonderful town from the 1st to the 4th of July this year. For 9 of our group it will be their first time going.

Please tell your friends and support Newbridge Scouts fundraising on Sunday 17th April bag packing in Tescos 11am to 5.30 in need of much needed funds................
